If anyone else has experience from maple street I would love to know which FO behaved and which didn't! I ended up buying 2 ounces of like 80 scents. Wondering now if it should have been one bottle each...

I will learn in time which FO behaves and which doesn't. But this is all part of the fun.. never knowing what to expect!

some of the batches I made I would add mica coloring. But after the cure I don't see any color! I think the brown color takes over. Does trying to cover up the brown discoloration work if you add extra mica or don't bother since the brown will dominate?

I did it! I just bought nearly 200 bucks of FO from maplestreet! excited to try some of their designer lines.

I once had a FO misbehave and seize my batter and couldn't get it to sink into my tube. so lots of loofah area didn't get enough soap. So be careful the FO doesn't cause it to thicken! wouldn't be as much of an issue if it was individual molds.

I used a FO with 2-5% vanilla which I assumed it would turn like a medium brown color. But it was dark dark dark like a brownie. Does all 2-5% turn CP soap that dark or does it vary on the FO? Does the type or quantity of the oil make a difference if you stretch out the FO with a greater oil...

At work now (I work 7pm to 7:30am) but plan on making an new batch of charcoal soap when I get home with a "Tonka and Oud" FO from candlescience. This FO has high vanilla content and the charcoal is dark anyways so decided to form that pair!

Not all costco carry almond oil. There are like 4 costco in my NYC area and only one carries almond oil. I think its a new product so hopefully the others get it soon!

I use half Shea and mix with coconut oil, avocado/sweet almond and a bit of tallow. I don’t smell anything other than the FO used.
