I'm a newbie and just bought a couple of silicone molds. Do I need to prep the mold ie mineral oil before I pour the soap? Also, do I still need to cover the mold for insulation?

What a wonderful site and a wealth of info! I just stated making soap in January - making small 1lb batches and experimenting with colors and fragrances. And I shall continue to learn from this site!
