    Leaking FO *added pics*

Here is the bottom And here is the sides You can see the residue it left on the freezer paper in that last one. I did a zap test, but nothing happened, it's safe that way. It's just the fo that is a problem. You can kind of see on the top part of the soap ball the area that is a...

    Leaking FO *added pics*

Here are pictures of it when I first poured it. Then in the morning this is what it looked like: The fo only seems to be around the embeds. There doesn't seem to be any lye pockets or anything through the soap, just fo around the embeds, and when you pick up the bar it feels...

    Leaking FO *added pics*

I finally used my first FO in a batch (Juniper breeze from mms) last night and it smells awesome. I used .80 oz for a 2 lb batch. I covered it and put it in a warm oven and checked on it before I went to bed and everything seemed fine. This morning though it had overheated and the top was...

    MMS FO?

Do you find you have to use less of theirs like they recommend? Like instead of .7-1 oz ppo, they say around .5 oz ppo.

    MMS FO?

I just bought a few FO from MMS and haven't had a chance to try them out yet. I have been reading this board trying to find out if people like MMS or if I should stay away from them in the future, etc, and I really don't see anyone that uses them. Anyone have any experience with them?

    Spices as Colorants...Scent?

I tried using anise powder for a smell, but it didn't stay at all! And from everything else I've heard or read it seems like spices don't stay smell wise.

    Coconut Milk

From what I know you can just use it as the liquid. I did a gm, oatmeal, and honey soap not that long ago and I just subtracted the gm from the amount of water.

Palm Oil in CP.... pre melt first?

I'm still pretty new to this, but I do know that some hard oils will separate when then harden, so yes you do need to melt it all, mix it together to make sure all the different parts of the oil are mixed together, and then measure out what you need for your batch.

An hour, maybe an hour and a half after I poured them. They were still hot, but they were getting hard so I knew I had to get them cut.

Wondering about using baby food carrots?

I just asked something similar and people said as long as it's a puree it's fine. I'm planning on doing a carrots and cream and making my own carrot puree.

    Question about adding ingredients

I've read of some people adding baby food carrots for a good carrot soap, or canned pumpkin, etc. I'd be worried that it would go bad quickly. Or is it just fine? I have a baby food maker so I could make fresh purreed carrots, but I was wondering if I'd need the store bought ones...

My first 2 Batches of CP Soap!

I have been reading up on CP soap for about a week now and I knew I HAD to try it. I sew and craft and love to create, so I I figured I'd give soaping a try. Now I think I'm addicted! This was my very first batch. It's orange flavored, but we'll see if that lasts. I did anchor it...
