    Lining molds with freezer paper

Mine are like that as well. It is hand crafted after all so it is not going to be like commercial soap. Maybe I am not fussy enough but it doesn't bother me.

    Lotioncrafter

I no longer make lotions and potions but when I did they were my go to supplier. Jen was a reliable resource. I vote that they will make good on the missing item.

    Liquid babassu

This exactly hat finally happened. I finally put it on a shelf in by cool basement and just got around to checking. It is solid and white in color. Not sure how long it really took.

    Liquid babassu

I just checked my order in my email and I did in fact order the organic which is not on the site now which Isg has noted. Who knows. Looks like it will remain a mystery.

    Liquid babassu

Thanks Redhead. I did decide to try refrigerating it and it shows signs of thickening some.

    Liquid babassu

Now that's a thought. The label ,which is bright green unlike their usual labels, states Refined organic expeller pressed babassu oil. Store 65 to 80 degrees. Right after I posted I put the jug in my oil fridge and it is thicker. I did see organic when I ordered.

    Liquid babassu

I selected the wrong item in Soapers Choice base oils so received organic babassu instead of the non organic that I have used since at least 1999. It arrived in a liquid form which I attributed to the extreme heat here in the northeast. Several days later in my air conditioned home it is still...

Check out the thread on Riceland brand rice bran sold at Lowe's for deep frying turkeys. Replace the olive with rice bran and save a bunch.

    Lowes Riceland Rice Bran Oil

Golly, this is great news. I have used rice bran for years and years ago when the price of Olive went so high I ordered from Riceland. I have used it interchangeably with olive and my soaps are great. The shipping recently made it out of reach for me so I have my formula back to mostly olive...

    Greasy Soap

Is it really grease? Is it possible that the issue is not grease at all but maybe release of glycerin? I have had a terrible problem with glycerin this season in this extra humid NE PA summer. It does feel greasy. My home is air conditioned to boot. I have been making soap since '99 and...

    goats milk soap

Hi, I ran this through a soap calculator and noticed that you are mixing weight and liquid measurements (gm and ml) a bit. Per the calculator the full milk by weight should be 227g using your other ingredients as stated and the Lye as stated is about 5% SF. With that said, I discount my water...

    Goat milk soap advice, please

I have used these molds for some specialty soaps and I think any usual pouring temp should be fine. I dont think you are going to get a gel in these molds because of the small volume of soap in each cavity. I make goat milk soaps and prevent gel by putting outside in the cold weather and in...

    Sam's Daily Chef Olive Oil

olive oil issues This is bothersome and disappointing. I use their olive oil as well. Batch failures could mean solvents in the oil. The last time I purchased any was Sept and am on the last gallon of that purchase which has been ok. Thanks for the heads up.
