    sweating soap

Thanks to everyone who responded! I will try a couple different things and see what happens. My Cinn Orange looks fine now, as usual, but since it happened twice, I wanted to ask!! Thank you again.

    Soap room question

My soap room is in the basement. I then bring my equipment upstairs to wash. It's a pain and I will hopefully be having my husband install a utility sink soon! I think you will be fine with the bathroom and kitchen being close. Good luck!

Gardeners soap - using ground pumice

You could also use poppyseeds for an exfoliant. Oatmeal also works. I use 1 1/4 teaspoons poppyseeds for 40 ounces oils.

    sweating soap

Thanks for the info. I have only noticed it with my kitchen (coffee), green tea and then my GM cinnamon orange. It sure seemed it was the EO, but why would it do that? It eventually dries. I first started out insulating, then kept reading that with wood molds and GM--you should not...

    sweating soap

Help! I have unmolded a couple of batches that seem like they are sweating. It seems to be the EO. I use wood log molds and do not insulate because I make goat's milk soap. I thought I was mixing the EO in well enough. Also---my soap room is in our non-insulated basement, right around 60...

    Preferred soap molds?

What molds make it best for swirling? I am currently using loaf style and it's sometimes hard to swirl. Also--I have read that you shouldn't use loaf molds for milk soaps---anyone agree?

    Oil percentages

Thank you all for the input. I do use Soap Calc---that's how I came up with this recipe. I adjusted one I already had. I have gotten good feedback on it, so thought it was a good one, then read about limiting palm--sort of freaked out!! Another question: what is a good place for pure...

    Oil percentages

Hello...I am new to this forum. I just read that you should limit palm oil to 10-30 percent, but if combining with coconut, they both should not exceed 50%. My current recipe is 40% palm, 30% olive, 25% coconut, & 5% castor. I thought this would be ok... Any info is much appreciated!! Thanks!
