1 % is too much, I am assuming that you made a small batch. I would start with very small amount like 0.1 gram, then adjust it.

My personal opinion, all botanicals in soap is mostly decoration, no real benefits except as a scrub from my own experience with different botanicals in handmade soap, I am not an expert by an mean, but I didn't find any scientific proof supports that.

I never had any success with mica pencil line.

Thank you for the advice. In fact I do that, I mark everything's weight with a sharpie it has helped me a lot, but in this specific time, I believe I made a big calculation mistake from the beginning.

I actually realized that, it took me almost 13 min. to fix the calculation and fill up the container with more water, I ended up with so much liquid much more what I needed for my containers altogether. I wonder if that's why I have a light film on the containers, I am not sure what to do to...
